Summary: Good premise that didn't fully deliver.
Review: I read a lot of Temptations and usually like them. This one had a great concept. I liked the office romance theme since she wasn't someone's secretary. But the characters fell flat for me. She seemed unhappy with her appearance but never tried to change it. He didn't want to fall in love, but the author never explained why. This made the book drag on at the end. I wanted to like this book more than I did but just couldn't get interested in a couple made up of an insecure accountant and a flake who feared commitment without reason. There was a lot of good writing, though, which saved the read for me, even if it wasn't as spicy as Temptations usually are.

Summary: THIS ONE IS A KEEPER!!!!!!!!!
Review: Just finished reading this book and was pleasantly surprised. I really liked the romance build up between Martha and her secret lover (I'm not telling!). This book is totaly fantasy and if you are expecting substanance forget it. The romance is what I would call very romantic and the characters were believable. And the hot guy is a hunk!! What more could you ask for??

Summary: magical and wonderful
Review: The author's fluid, funny, and warm writing style just sweep the reader along. The characters are refreshingly real. The book's plot sounds like a cliched, hackneyed story - plain, shy woman falls in love with her ooh so gorgeous boss - but from these stereotypical elements, Arnold fashions a story of pure gold! Once I finished this book I just wanted to run right out and buy everything else this author has written. She is that good!
