Review: I got this for Stuart's story, which is terrific, as is Johnston's. They both tell tales of couples fighting their attractions for one another for reasons that end up being much less important than the love growing between them. Tender, steamy loves scenes and clever dialogue are hallmarks of both novellas. I give each of them 5 stars. Rush's story, Love Slave, brings the whole book down for me. It was just weird - that's the best word I can think of. More of a psychological drama than a romance, the hero is just a mess, traumatized by his childhood and now taking it out on the heroine in the guise of sexual adventure. I'm old school I guess, but using another person for nearly forced sex so that you can work out your kinks is a turn off. The author is a good writer, but the plot stunk. 3 stars for it.
