Rating: Summary: Just OK Review: I have to agree with the other reviewer that said the secondary romance between Henry and Abby was more interesting than the one between the main characters. They (Hallie and Brodie) don't seem to have much use for one another 'til about 150 pages in, and then suddenly they are lusting after each other. There is a much better build-up for Abby and Henry emotionally and physically, and their love scenes are better, too. And there is way too much about the bad guys - Morgan would have been better spending less time on them and more on interaction between Brodie and Hallie. So, I'd give the main story 2 stars but since the secondary story is so good I'm bumping it up. Read this for Abby and Henry.
Rating: Summary: Really good book--enjoyable read Review: Love & Honor was pretty enjoyable. The plot was entertaining and the writing was good. I thought that the chemistry between Brodie and Hallie could have been a bit better, though. The romance between Henry and Abby was, in my opinion, more intense and detailed than Brodie and Hallie's. The book could have just as easily been about them. I liked that Hallie was different from other heroines from historical romances, especially those set in Texas (there seems to be a lot of them). Also, Brodie's reasons for being in Lampasas should have been known to the reader earlier on. We don't learn what he's doing there until the last couple of pages and it's like "oh, okay." Maybe if we knew why he was trying to kill Rafe (and no, I'm not giving away any plot by saying this) we could sympathize with him more. I wanted to know more about him and because of this, I found myself not usually "rooting" for him like I do with other characters. But all in all, I liked the book and would recommend it to others because it was entertaining to say the least.
