Summary: Quest for Life Scintillates
Review: I found Quest for Life (an inspired title) engrossing, difficult to put down. My first college English professor felt the essence of a substantive novel was its ability to make you care about the characters and their predicaments. Quest for Life defintely does that. The reader cares about the characters because obviously the writer loves them. The story scintillates and moves. It is contemporary and it is suffused with Christian and family values - something our society desperately yearns for. Congratulations. Ad multos annos! as a writer.

Summary: An emotionally moving account of harrowing grief
Review: Quest For Life by Barbara Rothe Merin is an original and impressively crafted novel of family tragedy and renewal. A blended family suffers the loss of a son, which tragedy threatens to tear the marriage apart at the expense of the surviving children. An emotionally moving account of harrowing grief, surprise revelation, and learning to live with grief, Quest For Life is high recommended, emotionally satisfying reading, and clearly documents Barbara Rothe Merin as an literarily gifted author.
