Rating: Summary: A steady pace Review: I am an avid reader of romance and found that this book kept my attention, not as much as others, but I read it every night before bed and found that it was easy to put down, but also very easy to pick up right where I left off. Petra is adorable and feisty, Frans is...well the heroine!!! And Clark is a bumbling idiot! Hilarious! All in all, a great book!
Rating: Summary: GREAT BOOK Review: I AM NOT USUALLY A FAN OF ROMANCE NOVELS BUT THIS WAS A FUN BOOK TO READ. I REALLY LIKED THE CHARACTER---HANS. MANY BOOKS JUMP FROM ONE CHARACTER TO ANOTHER TOO QUICKLY - THIS BOOK SPENT MORE TIME WITH THE CHARACTERS THUS MAKING IT VERY DIFFICULT TO PUT DOWN. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT ELLIS HOFF BOOK TO COME OUT
Rating: Summary: Brilliant Review: I've never read a romance novel before, but on a friend's suggest I read this one. It was brilliant. It had adventure, humour, and more...
Rating: Summary: I felt I was there with the Frans and Petra on Sava..to stay Review: Sand Pirates is much more than a romance. Its a breezy mix of thrills ans suspense. HOff lures you to an island filled wit fantasy and fun, in and out of the characters' minds, bodies and souls, down a road full of devious twists. Faster than a speeding bullet theplot is exciting, spell binding. I never wanted to leave Sava. Kim Sandford author Of Secret Fears.
Rating: Summary: simple discriptive of characters and genre. Review: Sand Pirates was a labor of love. The characters became so real during the process of writing I had trouble tuning them out to complete life's other tasks. Especially Clark. He's not the hero, or love interest, but try telling him that.Smug, conceited and self-centered beyond repair he makes things between Petra (the fiance he deserted on a remote tropical island) and Frans Vondel (undercover agent and resident Burgomaster) a litte more ... interesting. Clark's perspective adds an unusual and fun dimension to this romantic tale. Something out of the ordinary. See what you think and let me know.
Rating: Summary: A excellent book! I read it and didn't want it to end. Review: Sand Pirates was one of the best romance novels I have read in a long time. I am looking forward to Ms. Hoff's next book.
Rating: Summary: Offbeat fun & mystery! Review: When is a romance novel not just a romance novel? When it's Sand Pirates by Ellis Hoff! Though I am not a fan of contemporary romance, I thoroughly enjoyed this romp around the island of Sava with Petra, Frans, and the ever-so-foolish Clark. The exotic setting, well-defined characters, and snappy plot drive the novel merrily along its way to a satisfying conclusion. The author's unique "snapshot" style of writing allows the reader to absorb all points of view within the novel, and proves adept for building suspense and reader anticipation. The only thing that I didn't like about Sand Pirates is that it ended. Ah, but truly good things just can't last forever, now can they?
