Summary: Dance of Life
Review: Dance of Life is a charming book that is sure to please every romance reader. I grew up in the 60's and this book made me revisit some of my own teenage crushes. Lucky Andy Rafe, the hero, has a second chance with one of his. More important, the heroine -- Sammi Jo -- is a grown woman now with enough life experiences to know what she wants. The way Andy Rafe slowly worms his way into her life is delightful to follow. I look forward to Ms. Mayr's next book.

Summary: Getting it right!
Review: Ever wanted to start your life fresh and get it right? Sammie Jo plans to do just that when she moves back home to look after her grandfather and follow her dream. Sammie Jo is righting a lot of mistakes in her life, starting a dance studio, leaving her ex behind, and following her heart for causes. She never figured that history would come back to haunt her in the form of Andy, the boy she stood up for the prom.

Overzealous about her causes, Sammie Jo's fate ends up in the hands of Andy, now a judge, who can't let her sass him in the courtroom. He's the catch of the town and a friend of her grandfather's. In the small town where nothing is really a secret, their paths cross constantly but can they learn to see each other differently?

A delightful read with lots of emotion. Dance of Life hooks you on page one and delivers what it promises!!

Summary: Loser Date
Review: Remember high school? Ever backed out of a loser date, claiming the flu or appendicitis attack? Yeah? So did Samantha Josephine, and she now regrets it.

After returning to her hometown to take care of her grandfather, Nate, she takes part in a protest and is arrested. As fate would have it, she appears before the judge, the former loser date. The community service hours given seem excessive. Was this in retaliation of the broken high school date? Does someone carry a grudge this long?

Sammi Jo is determined to complete her community service in spite of the time it takes caring for her grandfather and attempting to start a new dance studio. Fate steps in once again as Nate's chess partner is none other than Andy Rafe, the judge. He comes to the house weekly to play chess with Nate and to wend his way into Sammi Jo's thoughts.

Sammi Jo wonders how the former nerd could turn out to be this well built, confident judge. It seems that wherever Sammi Jo turns, Andy Rafe is there. Sometimes he is helpful but more often he is simply interfering. Nates cares for him a great deal. Will Sammi Jo also?

Ilsa Mayr is a master of dialogue and furthers the plot mainly through conversation. How she does it I'm not sure, but it makes for a very intersting and throughly enjoyable read. Buy it! You'll like it!
