Summary: Thank god there was a sequel
Review: I really did enjoy this book. I felt a compassion for the characters who struggled with feelings they weren't ready to deal with. However, the ending left me feeling too sad. I was hoping there would be a sequel and thank goodness I found Chase the Wind. *whew* Otherwise, I might have been turned off by Janelle Taylor books forever. :)

Summary: Great story with tender ending!
Review: I really enjoyed this book and was anxious to have Jessica and Navarro marry and live happily ever after and the author took a different turn that ended wonderfully tender and satisfying.

Ms. Taylor style of writing is very detailed oriented with her descriptions/explanations that greatly bring her tales to life.

Summary: Follow the Wind
Review: Jessica Lane is the beautiful, tomboy daughter of a rancher with a big spread in Texas. The bad guy wants to steal their land. So to stop him, Jessie sets off for town to hire a gunslinger. She gets far more than she paid for in the Godlike, mysterious, halfbreed Navarro Breed. He is a troubled man with a troubled past, but he has no trouble handling the Lane's problems and Jessica too. Enter Matt Cordell, the ranch foreman who waited too long for Jessie to grow up. Now there is a love triangle that takes them from one adventure to the next in 1870's Texas. This is typical Taylor--sunsuous but not obscene. Lots of facts about, Texas,Indians, cattle and ranching. Lots of- he thinks, she thinks, but lots of action too. A good story and an enjoyable read. Navarro turns up again in Chase the Wind and I wish he would turn up again!!

Summary: janelle taylor is wonderful but this falls a little short.
Review: This is very difficult to review. The book, as outlined above, started well. Then it got bogged down in detail and description and I wished it would end. BUT...the characters were good and likeable enough that I couldn't abandon the book as I wanted to know what the outcome was. And towards the end it picked up again. It is a very different plot with lots of twists and plenty of western action...more information about running a ranch than I needed.
I didn't think the "romance" was in any way sensual physically but emotionally there was attachment. I think this book will appeal to some and be a disappointment to others. Or, as with me, some of both.
