Review: This was a very suspenseful, entertaining read. My only problem with this book was how judgemental Eva was. She is one of those people who run hot and cold, and looked down on Bobby for being a victim of unspeakable abuse. Maybe this was because of the guilt that she felt watching her best friend's husband murder her. I'm only 15 and found this book in my Gram's collection. I loved all of the characters, little Penny and Alma in particular. Eva, I could have lived without. When some one shows up on your doorstep, battered and beaten, a dye job and new hair cut are not the answer. As I said I'm only 15, but this is my opinion. Otherwise, a great read, with a happy, suspenseful ending.
