Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A Wonderful Title
Review: McConnell's novel with the clever title Miss-Adventures is indeed based on many of the same. He takes the young Marine, Gary Cornwall through the pathos and joy of love entanglements and exciting military adventure. His writing is sensitive to the feelings of a maturing youth from high school to war with many, many intriguing "miss-adventures."

McConnell's well written, first published work is obviously a result of a man who has an extensive military background and a lifetime of travel and exciting personal experiences. It is a story that would appeal to a broad reading audicnce and particularly anyone who has served in the military

The love interests of young Cornwall are well handled by the author, descriptive but with taste. Any reader could find himself or herself in many of Garys situations, particularly the growing up of a young man with raging hormones. Fun, but with a message.
