Summary: A BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN STORY ABOUT A DIFFICULT SUBJECT
Review: Distant Memories is a book about domestic abuse. A woman coming out of a bad marriage with severe psychological trauma. It is also a book about never losing faith, a book about hope, about the enduring quality of love.

I can completely relate to the racquel character. I too was trapped in an abusive marriage. After reading this book, I had to rethink my feelings on never getting involved with a man again. It made me think.

I really enjoyed this book. It was not one of Ms Stanhope's humorous books, but, humor in this situation would not have been appropriate at all. I think the author is a very gifted writer. I also think that it is way too early in her career to pigeon hole her as an author who should only write humorous romance.

BRAVO Ms. Stanhope for having the courage to write a book about an extremely difficult subject. I Love your books! I also recommend: MADE FOR EACH OTHER, NIGHT TO REMEMBER, CHAMPAGNE WISHES as must reads! I will be keeping DISTANT MEMORIES on my shelf to lend to friends and family.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A SOFT AND SWEET LOVE STORY!
Review: Distant Memories is the 4th Stanhope book I have read. This one, like the 3 previous books, was very enjoyable. There was mystery, tragedy, and all encompassing romance. Something for everyone!

A great book to curl up with on a friday evening! I also recommend: Made For Each Other and Night To Remember as must reads.

Summary: You Gotta GIve it Up...
Review: for Niqui Stanhope, this book is definitely one of the better Arabesque Novels that I've read. It was worth the money I shelled out for it, and it actually held my interest, unlike some other BET books that I've read.

Even though in some parts, near the end, it dragged on a little, but the story of this woman learning to trust and love again, while avoiding someone who obviously wants to hurt her, was definitely worth the wait.

A delightful read, if I do say so myself!

Summary: MYSTERY BETTER THAN THE ROMANCE.
Review: I RATHER THINK THAT MS. STANHOPE SHOULD STICK WITH THE FORMULA THAT, IN THIS READER'S OPINION, TAKES HER FROM A MEDIOCRE WRITER TO POSSIBILITY OF BECOMING GREAT ROMANCE WRITER.

THAT FORMULA IS HER ABILITY TO WRITE HUMOROUS ROMANCE NOVELS, AS SHE DISPLAYED IN HER WRITING "MADE FOR EACH OTHER" AND "NIGHT TO REMEMBER." IF YOU WANT TO READ HER BEST, CHECK OUT THESE TWO.

I WILL NOT KEEP THIS ONE TO READ OVER AND OVER AGAIN; THOUGH I DO NOT REGRET BUYING IT.

Summary: THIS IS A GREAT NOVEL!
Review: If you've ever suffered from a case of the blues, then this book is for you! It's filled with strength, hope, perseverance, and yes, LOVE. It made a believer out of me!

Beautifully written. Wonderfully crafted. A book that will make you think, but most of all, belive in love again.

Read this one. It's going to be well worth it! Five stars! I would give it more if I could.

Summary: Exactly What I Thought It Would Be! FANTASTIC!!!
Review: Niqui Stanhope does it again! In a beautifully written, compassionate really really good read, she weaves an extremely enjoyable tale. Stanhope has a certain unique style that follows her through all of her books from: Night To Remember to Made For Each Other. Her writing is wonderful!

Please give this one a try! Six stars!

Summary: Not what I thought it was going to be!
Review: Okay, Stanhope did a fast one on me. This book turned out to be a very good read. Don't get me wrong, I am a big Stanhope fan! It's just that the novel started out slow, but it picked up quit nicely toward the middle. Like I said, not what I thought it was going to be, but good nontheless!!

Summary: Is this an African American Romance !
Review: The story was ok, but the characters are so nondescript you could just as well have a blonde couple on the cover. I enjoy reading AA Romance novels because they are about black characters. There is usually some connection I can feel with the characters, be it family traditions, physical description or whatever. Tall beautiful and dark eyes could be anybody. Ms. Stanhope, you are a talented writer, but please don't loose sight of who your audience is. If I didn't care who I was reading about I would read Danielle Steel.

Summary: A WONDERFUL ROMANCE NOVEL!
Review: This was a wonderful romance novel. I read it from beginning to end in one sitting. I loved the mystery. The prologue actually gave me the jitters! HAd to keep the lights on afterwards. I thought the romance between Sean and Racquel was passionate and sweet. It was the bomb!

I love your books Niqui! And, this one is great! GO NIQUI,GO NIQUI,GO NIQUI! KEEP THEM COMING!

Summary: True Love Is Like A Circle, Let It Go and It Will Return!
Review: This was not one of Ms Stanhope's normal juicy romantic novels but I truly enjoyed how she captured this plot of dealing with spousal abuse. It is a very heart warming story where you can't help but be like a cheerleader for Racquel as she seeks towards finding some happiness. You never know in life how someone you cared for from your past who moves away can re-enter your life when you least expect. This story is defintely full of surprises and has a twist of suspense that adds a flavor of interest to this book. The only thing missing is the ending seemed to be cut short, as though another chapter or epilogue could have been added.
