Summary: It Was Okay But Wasn't a Keeper!
Review: I love Christmas themed Romance books and A Country Christmas, by Jackie Weger was good but not one of my favorites so it's not one of my keepers. This one is part of the Harlequin Romance Book series and is about a woman named Kaley Jackson, a young widow living in the mountains with her grumpy Father-in-law who has been involved for years in a Hatfield and McCoy's type feud with neighbors. The trouble starts for Kaley when Slade Rutledge a member of the family that her father-in-law hates comes to town and Kaley and Slade fall in love incurring the wrath of her Father-in-law who treats her with scorn and ridicule and does anything he can to try and get her to hate Slade. I read another romance book called A Country Christmas, and that one was in the Silhouette Special Edition series and had entirely different characters and plot and was written by Jessica St. James but even though it's not one of my favorite Christmas themed Romance books I preferred this one by Jackie Weger.

Summary: It Was Good!
Review: I read this book and I liked it but didn't love it. It's about Kaley a widow who lives with her father in law who is mean stubborn and stuck in his ways, he is fighting with his neighbors, The Rutledges and when Kaley starts seeing Slade Rutledge he is furious and trys to poison Kaley's mind against him which doesn't work. This book was good but a disappointment is that Kaley and her father in law never work out their problems, I was hoping he would realize he was wrong and accept Kaley and Slade but I guess a sudden change like that wouldn't be very realistic.
