Rating: Summary: A Word from the Author Review: Dear Reader, Hello, from Cheryl Giandalia. This is my first novel, based a little bit on my life as a traveling artist, with a lot of imagination thrown in, just for fun. I think you'll find it an entertaining piece, a good beach read perhaps, and I hope you'll buy it, and help support a poor, starving artist type like me!...Here is a brief synopsis:Nestled along the coast of Massachusetts, the quiet town of Bohemia Village is the perfect place for an artist to escape her past. Wanting only to live a normal life, Cimmeron Demond learns how quickly passiom can turn to obsession when she falls in love with Leo Diablo, a fellow sculptor with a diabolical secret of his own. Haunted by nightmares and perplexed by Leo's bizarre disappearances, Cimmeron tries for normalcy in a crazy artist's world, only to find herself drawn ever deeper into its flames. When murder disrupts the tranquil village, Cimmeron's life is catapulted into a twisted web of passion and deceit that threatens not only her tenuous hold on sanity, but also her life. Sounds like a lot of fun, doesn't it? Well, read on....
Rating: Summary: so bad its funny - written by a genius? Review: I met the author of this work in person at an outdoor event; she was somewhat charming if quite inebriated. My wife and I both liked her, even believing her when she told us she was a "genius" and that I must read her book (when she found out that I taught English literature at a local university). I did. I have to say that it gave me renewed confidence in my own neglected work - if some one who wrote this can be so confident and sure of her "genius" then my work can't be that bad, and I must be at least a genius as well. The uneven and coarse main character (the author) stumbles her way through silly foibles and romance with a fairly ghastly misanthrope, enjoys her debauchery, profane and self-deprecating comments and coarse, un - funny humor, all to an incipit, florid narration that reads like the diary of a fourteen - year old. You will have a much more cogent read from the racks of paperbacks in the checkout line of your local supermarket.

Rating: Summary: Didn't want it to end Review: This book was surprising and with many unexpected twist and turns. I was drawn to it's main character, Cimmeron, and looked forward to her finding trust and true love. I was finished in two nights and didn't want it to end! It has a surprising ending to it, one I did not expect. It leaves you with many questions, mystery, and mixed emotions and a stirring of the soul. How can this be the end? It was a exceptional book, that captivates and draws you in, from start to finish. I can hardly wait for the next novel.......... The author did an exceptional job on the painting on the cover. Hurry up with your next novel!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: Highly Recommended Review: This is a great book! The author is very talented and very good at "painting the picture" in your head- as if you were actually in the story yourself. The story is very interesting- I definately recommend it!!!
Rating: Summary: Awful, with moments of brilliance. Review: Well David, its not THAT bad. :-) Ok, its a thinly disguised romance novel, and the characters seem to have attention deficit disorder, and are unable to clues staring at them that they are doing really stupid things, but there are hints of decent writing here and there. Not a bad effort for a first novel, even if it is self-published. A half a million more words and she may be ready for prime time. I have to admit I laughed at one or two clever quips or cogent observations about the human condition. Skimmed thru the rest of the tripe of course. At least the writing is better than the childish artwork that adorns the cover.
