Summary: True Love really does exist!
Review: After reading Silence, I found myself beleiving that true love really does exist. In a world where so many people just deny true love, honest love, love at first sight, this book kept me on edge every step of the way. I was swept away into a time where it seemed that people really lived life. The simplest of things meant the most.

I found much frustration in aspect of when the characters were forced into dire situations that called for help, they had to rely on communications of a time where there were no pagers, cell phones, internet or email. Everything hinged on telephones and telegraphs. Imagine the despret hunt for a killer and whole country on hold until something tragic happened so another clue could be revealed.

I found this book to be thrilling, frustrating and compelling. I recommend this book to anyone who has longed to be loved or has loved in a way that makes romance what is has always been rumored to be.

Summary: SILENCE IS GOLDEN
Review: Time machine to the days of old. By D.W. Landingham

As long as I can remember,I have had a fascination with the golden age of Hollywood. An age that in my opinion began with the first flickering silent moving pictures. The masses where spellbound with the images of William S. Hart besting the bad guys in the Genesis of the western horse operas. The only sound that was heard was the flickering of the projector and the accompaniment of an old Rinky Tink piano. No doubt sometimes played by the local grammar school music teacher in a small town theater. And somehow the music always seemed to fit. Then there was the comedy. Buster Keaton,a master film craftsman. Chaplin,Pickford,Laurel& Hardy, the first royalty of Hollywood. Over the years I have read many Biographies about the stars of the silent era as well as the talkies. The list is endless. For the most part I have always preferred to read non fiction about all of these fascinating performers of the silent era as well as those that have made there mark since, Wayne,Douglas ,Brando and Fonda just to name a few. And yes the wonderful ladies. Grabel, Turner, Monroe. The list goes on to this day. To anyone that would love to have a time machine to be able to travel back to the 1920's,back to the Golden Age of Hollywood,I suggest that you read 'Silence' by Thomas Amo. That is if you don't happen to have a time machine. This book would be the next best thing. Mr. Amo has assembled a cast of characters that are the binding that holds the story together. All colorful individuals that you will love or hate. Tiege Cargill our leading man. A young genius director of Weirlech Films International. A man on the fast track. The studios most famous director. But as in real life there is always a fly in the ointment. D.W.Kolten. Nephew to the deceased head of the studio,Fritz Weirlech. Kolten is a dark brooding cad that has become the head of the studio after his uncles death. This he has done with the help of a forged will. His bitter hate for Tiege makes him very dangerous. Catherine Pearce, an English farm girl that has never seen or heard of Tiege Cargill and has no idea that he is a famous film Director. This enables her to fall in love with the man rather then the image. ' Silence' has all the elements for a great story. Romance, intrigue and suspense. A hotel fire,a train chase across England with Scotland Yard in hot pursuit. Plenty of action and violence for any reader. And yes even a little sex as well. Just the iceing on the cake. So in lieu of a working time machine my I recomend 'Silence' by Thomas Amo. Just to get a taste of what it my have been like to be involved in a by gone era, The Golden Age of Hollywood.
