Rating: Summary: What Happened?! Review: After reading 'Thugs and the Women Who Love Them', I could not wait to get my hands on the sequel. I am sorry to say this book did not live up to my expectations. Wahida stated in the foreword that her publishing company was changing owners, and as a result, the first 20,000 copies (one of which I purchased) would be raw and uncut. In other words, there were [adult] scenes that needed to be cut and some grammatical errors. That was ok with me, afterall it does say RAW and UNCUT right on the cover. The problem I had was that there was not enough mention of Jazz's pending trial. And it seems to me like if Snake was this big time [prostitute], why did'nt anyone miss him? Even Angel made it seem like there was no skin off her back when the man who pays for her schooling and everything else just up and dissapeared. But the most unbeleivable part of the story is the epilogue when it comes to Jazz's fate and the suprise ending. I just don't get it!!! (If you read part one you understand!) For real, it seemed like Wahida forgot about Jazz's situation and just threw it in at the end. I won't hate too much though, Wahida is a talented sistah. I look forward to more from her.
Rating: Summary: Thug Lovin' Review: EVERY THUG NEEDS A LADY is the disturbing sequel to Thugs and The Women Who Love Them. The author, a prison inmate, does a superb job of introducing us to the seamy under belly of a criminal subculture that most of us would like to pretend does not exist. In her authentic and unvarnished account of this nightmarish urban underground, Wahida Clark takes us into the lives of four college educated women who choose to cavort with and even marry and start families with cold callous men who live on the fringes of the law. The situations the ladies find themselves in as they venture into this sinister world and interact with these dangerous hoodlums, with little or no regard for human life, is truly fascinating. The driving themes behind this steamy novel are sex, violence, drugs and decadent excesses. EVERY THUG NEEDS A LADY is a truly gritty story which allows us to explore a way of life steeped in depravity and self-indulgence. The chillingly real events depicted in this story coupled with a fascinating cast of characters and an immensely absorbing plot makes for a gripping melodrama that will keep the reader riveted to the book from start to finish. Rating: Summary: I still don't understand the ending??? Review: I enjoyed Thugs And The Women Who Love them more than this sequel. I understand this was the raw and uncut version but, there was just too much sex. I enjoyed the relationship of Trae and Roz. Angel dated a pimp. How does the person you love who is a big time pimp just dissappear and there is nothing else said about it?. The first book was more realistic. It really leaves you waiting for the sequel and then when you finish the sequel your like WHAT?. Who shot Trae(why), why snake come back with guns he got beat down by an old prostitute, he needed to be trying to shoot her. overall I gave this book a 3, only because it really didn't pick-up where the 1st book ended. Jaz was found guilty by a jury sentenced to 17 years fed time. You would think the sequel would start there but, it wasn't mentioned until page 11 what exactly happened with the 17 year sentence and from that point on new characters with new storylines took over.
Rating: Summary: i missed something Review: i for one really disliked this book to make a long story short the book started to make me sick afther a while, i don't even wanna get into it the book was a worthless read.

Rating: Summary: It was STRAight Review: It was a real good book, the only thing that I had a problem with was the ending. You are kinda left hanging and dont know whats going on, they said that tre was bleeding but that was it......then snake came to the wedding and they were armed and ready. I am abit vconfused and lost with the ending. They should have went back to trae and tasha to say atleast something. I didint give it a 5 becuz I dont like the fact how I was confused a bit and left hanging. Pretty much everyone who reads the book says the same thign about the ending. Is there a sequel or what? I dont even know that!!
Rating: Summary: THUG LUVIN Review: OK, Wahida done did it again. She has left us on the verge of yet another sequel. (I HOPE) From start to finish you are there with the characters. All of the chacters are in here again but she is mainly dealin with Roz/Tasha and Angel. The books title is try to it's name. The character development is there. The plot is there. The story line is off the chain. I felt as if I were there. This book is hot. Keep doing the damn thang. Come on with the next one I am waiting. Stop reading my review and go GET THE BOOK. And Oh Yeah wait till you get to the ending. Some typo's but the book is good.
Rating: Summary: CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEXT ONE...BUT CONFUSED Review: Okay....the book was good, any real reader could over look the mistakes that was in the book and you knew who was talking from other things going on in the book. The story line was in-taced correctly and I enjoyed this one better than the first. But the same questions as the other readers: Where did Snake come from when he was poisoned in the first book and beat down? Who and Why did "someone" shot Trea? I mean come on....you left your readers hanging at the end, you have to come correct on this thing....let us know if you plan on having a sequel or series so we as the readers will know what to expect.
Keep the books...comin'
