Rating: Summary: A Good Read Review: Although she is no Skye O'Malley, Jasmine is her own person and commands excitement nonetheless. This sequel to Wild Jasmine was predictable, yet exciting. Bertrice Small writes with such lush detail and vivid characters that I feel as if I am a participant. I enjoyed this book. (Some parts better than others.) Someone who picks it up before reading the other Skye O'Malley books, might get a little lost. Those who have read the series must remember that Jasmine is not Skye, and enjoy this character for who she is.

Rating: Summary: Oh Dear Review: I have long been an avid Beatrice Small fan, reading all of her novels as they come out. As time goes on, her books have been getting worse and worse. I keep buying them, hoping they will be like their predecessors and being sadly disappointed. Her first books had so much detail about EVERYTHING, not only sex. I can still see, feel and taste her descriptions of the Tudor court and the Middle East. Where her older books can be considered erotic, I found some of the descriptions in this one just distasteful. Firey passion is one thing, foul language constantly, is another.I also could not get over the fact that on almost every page our heroine is called "DARLING JASMIN". There are some pages she's called that 2 or 3 times. We get the idea that she's a "darling", we don't need to be beaten over the head with it (even if she is a bit spoiled - especially in the beginning - and not really anyone's "darling"!!!). Thus saying, I did appreciate two different things in this book. First, I like that Ms. Small continues to recap who the people are. She has written so many books about this family (and the Glenkirk family), that it is hard to keep everyone straight. Second, I liked the ending to this series and how she handled Skye. Not to ruin the ending for anyone, just be prepared for a smile and a tissue.....
Rating: Summary: Darling Jasmine, Glenkirk Chornicles Review: I have read ALL the books written by Bertrice Small, and I find them very fasinating. Ms. Small writes in details that I have never experienced in reading in any book that I have picked up in my lifetime. Ms. Small has a way of captivating her readers and placing them in the book itself. I am eagerly awaiting her next book, and like I said I have all 23 books that Bertrice Small has written, and I have read them all twice so far. I congratulate a wonderful Author, and may she never stop writing.
Rating: Summary: Bertrice Small does it again, and again! OOOO-LA-LA!!! Review: This book is an absolute wonder. Bertrice has a vivid imagination and puts forth the knowledge of her imagination to the readers! Its hard to start her book and be able to do anything else until the very last page...The more she does the more you want. The characters are alive and capture the imagination of all who read about them. Again, the author is excellent in her vivid imagination and its a search for the next book from her. Can't wait until her next one. The Skye O'Malley saga was and still is her best literary accomplishments. Too bad the character, Skye, had to age. Anyone who has not had the opportunity to actually read this saga, is missing a world of pleasure, and hardships faced by one hellish woman as she travels through life. What a joy to read all the books by Bertrice Small. Talent is what this lady has, and this reader is glad she does!! Thank you Bertrice for all your accomplishments!!
Rating: Summary: Ok book to read. Review: This was a great book.I just wish jasmine could have been stronger.Like she was in wild jasmine. But other then that it was a great book.
Rating: Summary: darling jasmine Review: Within a few pages of the book I was already crying.Mrs. small is clever & witty. I've read all her books about the o'malley saga and the other related books. All are masterpieces. I've read all at least three times. The Kadin started it all really and Skye was added in . Darling Jasmine was a bit brutal and rushed and it's not my favorite, but the ending was beautiful and done only as Mrs. Small could do it. Sad & poignant the ending stays with you and brings all the other sagas together at once. BRAVO!
