Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A poignant read
Review: It has been eleven years since Pippa Davis has seen Luke Danton, the man she fell deeply in love with in London when he was a cook and she was a chambermaid. Pippa knew Luke was attracted to her, but not enough to commit to any long-term relationship. He ran home to the States to open restaurants and she remained in England, pregnant with his child.

Although he never met his daughter Josie, he feels he knows her via the e-mail they have exchanged. However, now Pippa is ailing and she believes Josie will need her father. They suddenly fly unannounced to Los Angeles and continue on to his Manhattan Beach home. There, Pippa and Luke rekindle their love with the matchmaking skills of a precocious child to help them find a future as a family together except that "Mummy" might not be around to enjoy it with Luke and Josie.

FOR HIS LITTLE GIRL is a second chance at love that has the deft touch of award winning Lucy Gordon to guide the plot. Fans of contemporary tales will enjoy the story line. The lead couple is an intriguing pair. Although Josie overwhelms the plot in a hyperactive way she retains a child-like freshness that makes her a warm character. Putting aside why Luke never met Josie, the trio makes a becoming family whose adventure will provide pleasure to readers who enjoy a wholesome category romance.
