Review: Flames of Rapture is one of the best romance novels about the Wiccan religion I have read in a very long time. The accuracy of witchcraft along with the detail of psychic phenomenon amazed me. Lark Eden captures the essence of passion, sensuality, and romance, each with their own subtle fusion of perception. Lyric, the heroine is a witch of tradition. She uses her psychic gift of psychometry to aid museums and antique dealers place monetary value on items. During her summer visit to Salem, her interest in the local haunted mansion conflicts with the sale of the property. David, the hero moves to Salem to heal from the death of his wife and child three years prior. A fireman that takes his profession very seriously buys the fixer upper without the knowledge it is haunted. While Lark Eden weaves this story, she allows you glimpses of previous life incarnations, clairvoyance incidents and clairaudient thoughts. The mystic side of this book is very 'real to life.' This is a must read for anyone who is interested in witchcraft as a lifestyle, who loves the paranormal in romance, or just wonders what everyday life might be like as a psychic. Review: I fell in love with Lyric and David as they rediscovered each other; as the love they shared generations ago is rekindled in their new lifetime. It wasn't the usual romance and I loved the twists and turns. A good read and very entertaining.
