Rating: Summary: Disappointing- Depressing for a Romance Novel Review: I would have given this less than 2 stars, but it was like a train wreck in that I had to finish it, so to me that earns two.
The premise of rediscovering a lost love and a chance to start anew would have worked if it was not so deeply mired in hopelessness on so many fronts. Maybe a spark of romance- since it was supposed to be a romance novel- would have lifted the mood.
I guess if it would not have been classified as a contemporary romance and strictly as fiction I would not have been so disappointed. There is almost no romance in this novel- and most of what little there is belongs to pubescent 15 year olds!
The novel was depressing with only a glimmer of hope at the end for the two star-crossed would-be lovers who had never consummated their so called relationship, and still hadn't at the end of the book!
On the bleak family front, I would have sent the 15 year old son to military school. Her 8 year old son was pathetic and seemed well on his way to obsessive compulsive, worry-wart oblivion.
If you want romance with a zest for life, try Julie Ortolon's novels.
Rating: Summary: Another work of Art Review: Karen Crane is a breath of fresh air for women's fiction. Her book "I Remember You" will have you guessing until the very end. Crane has whit and charm on every page. She is a master in this genre. Can't wait till the next one.
Rating: Summary: A romance to remember Review: Karen Crane is a step above the rest in fiction and romance. I couldn't put "I Remember You" down until I finished it. From beginning to end, the author keeps you enticed for more. I can't wait for future books!!!
Rating: Summary: Page Turning Romance Review: Picked this book up on my way to the Tulsa Airport. FINALLY, I got lucky!!! A book that I did not throw away once I landed for the connecting flight at DFW;)
An amazing storyline, well developed characters, and a true love romance.
Great read. Now that I have read "I Remember You," I can't wait for the next book to come out. Does anyone know when her next book will be released?
