Summary: This was so good.........
Review: ....if you're not hooked by reading the very first sentence I don't know why. I thought this book was a hoot!!

When Baron Cameron D'Abernon, the Black Wolf, shows up at her Keep Lady Kaela of Chaldron knows her time is up. If she's going to keep the lands he father left her when he died she has to marry. The problem is--she fears men. Really fears them, and for good reason. However, the Baron isn't a man who's easily ignored, try as she may. And neither is he one who's going to fall in love with this beautiful woman--though just about everyone else around him has, including his own men!

Thus starts the adventure of the two most stubborn people you will ever meet. Both of their adventures in Court had me howling at times. Ms. Dansby's ability to take you there and allow you to enter the character's world is a rare talent in a newer author. This was a merry romp through Old England for me and I loved every minute of it!

Yes, parts of the book were predictible, but in a good way, you know? Even when you knew what was going to happen, the route Ms. Dansby uses to get you there is well worth the reading.

I highly recommend this book to all lovers of romance-- historical or otherwise.

Summary: WHAT A MEDIEVAL ROMANCE SHOULD BE!
Review: I laughed, I cried, I loved it! A wonderful medieval romance with a strong heroine and a stronger hero. Delighful minor characters add to the mix. This kept me up all night! Annie T.D.

Review: I really enjoyed this book. The author gave us wonderful characters with depth and a plot that keeps moving. If you like early Judith McNaught or Julie Garwood's books... you will like this one.

Summary: keala gets under cameron's skin
Review: ok, i was really hooked, i almost missed out on a ricky martin concert to finish this book! this is a great historical fiction about keala, a saxson noble who's been tormented by her cousin for years and tortured by him after her parents death. she holds her father's estate and plans to remain so after william takes the throne after the battle at hastings. enter cameron, the fearless "black wolf" and norman baron who has quite the frightful reputation. well, he turns out to be her escort to see the king. well, this part is pretty predictable, take a guess - they fall for each other; however, cameron's had a scared relationship in the past and will not allow himself to admit his feelings toward keala or her four year old cousin, mattie - the heartbreaker!

enter reality now - you must understand keala cannot keep her father's estate unless she marries, so cameron must assist the king in who will marry his denied love. guess what he does? he marries her! what a shock! so, the next trial is for keala, with all cameron's friends/vassels to convince cameron that yes, he can love again if in fact he ever really loved before.

this book is pretty predictable, but very much worth reading. i personally, love historical fiction and this book full filled all my expectations.

enjoy!
