Summary: I Have To Finish
Review: All I am going to say is, I am not even finished yet and I'm giving it 5 stars.

Summary: I Tried to Have An Open Mind But...
Review: I am an avid reader so I hate giving bad book reviews. I did my best to keep an open mind when I read Donna Hill's book but I didn't enjoy it at all. I have nothing against Ms. Hill's work but this book was the most jumbled, most confusing books I have ever read.

Sentence structure and grammar wasn't the greatest and took away from the plot. Being a novelist myself I found myself editing the work more than I read it. Ms. Hill maybe talented but her editor should be fired. There were a lot of mistakes that should have been caught in the first instant. Run-on sentences and the excessive use of words like " amber " took away from the book's point ( which to this day I still don't know what it was ). The plot, well it was just too much. I felt like the author tried to squeeze in eight different plots in one book. Some things were not necessary. Why was it necessary that Veronica be white when it didn't make a difference in the story? Even Max being Japanese didn't seem to matter. It just gave the author an excuse to go to Tokyo in the end of the book. There were just too many turn-offs. Reese and Max had no chemistry whatsoever. I found the love scenes forced and boring. The dialogue was good but as I said before too much took away from that. There were too many wasted characters and too many Japan flashbacks. It seemed like the author just made everything up at the spur of the moment. Things were thrown out but not explained. What's the chance that all of these people be connected? It was too unbelievable. I could barely get through this book. It took me months to read it and I still am not finished. I had to keep putting it down. I felt I was being sufficated because the plot was far too twisted. Honestly I can't recommend this book to anyone. But then again, it's your choice.

Summary: I Tried to Have An Open Mind But...
Review: I can not begin to say how good this book was! This book was bought for me as a gift from my boyfriend. At the time, I was reading another book, but I was curious to see what the book was about. Setting my book aside I only intended to read the first page. After the first page I couldn't stop. This book was sooooooo good! I finished it in a week!

Intimate Betrayal is about a man name Maxwell that has his own compnay by the name of M.K. Interprise. Maxwell is half Japanese and half Black. He is very secretive and to himself and does not trust others as the result of one woman Victoria Davenport. He loved this woman with all his heart and soul. He trusted her with his deepest most personal secerts and she did the unthinkable to him. Because of what she did to him he keeps his guard up when it comes to trust people especially women.

His guard slowly begins to crumble when he is told by his secretary that a reporter by the name of Reese Delware is on her way to interview him. He tries his best to keep his guard up, but he slowly begins to fall inlove with this mysterious woman who has a fatal past that could changed both of their lives forever and put them at dangerous risk.

When they both decided to take a trip to Tokoyo things will start to change for the good and the bad. This story had me on the edge of my seat during the entire read. Every chapter makes you wanna hurry to the next. It was hard for me to put this book down. I recommend it to all book lovers! You won't regret picking this one up.

Donna Hill thanks you so much for a wonderful PAGETURNER! I am heading to the bookstore now to get your other novel .....A Private Affair!

*You have a new fan!

Summary: Complex, enjoyable story.
Review: I have hardly ever advised this before, but to all potential readers, I have some advice to give you: Skip the book, watch the movie. Intimate Betrayal was a betrayal alright, I felt betrayed from the first words to the last. This is the most heavily cliched piece of writing I have ever had the misfortune of reading. Had I not seen the movie first, which I usually do not do, but it had some up and coming actors I would never have picked up the book. After reading the introduction of the book I was mistakingly optimistic, thinking it could only get better. WRONG! It got worse and worse and worse. Dont' waste your time.

Summary: Complex, enjoyable story.
Review: I picked up Intimate Betrayal the book after seeing the movie. The movie only whet my appetite for the book. And, I'm glad I did! Reese and Maxwell are two interesting people who have secrets and empty spaces in their lives. The similarity in their struggles to succeed is subtle at first, but it becomes obvious. The attraction between them was obvious and it went from smoldering to hot. Ms. Hill has written a very enjoyable story with multi-faceted characters and situations. Read this and savor it.

Summary: Absolutely Beautiful
Review: This book was just beautiful. I too fell in love with Maxwell. It was perfect from beginning to end. From the first word to the last word. Better than the movie. The person that wrote that Yuck review is clueless.

Summary: Wonderful! Could not put it down. Definitely a must read.
Review: This book was just wonderful. The mystery surrounding the characters and the different plots added to the story. Donna Hill really outdid herself bringing everything together. It was an added bonus learning about a different culture. I found it very interesting reading about the Japanese culture and how it tied in with the story line.

I enjoyed it immensely and would like an update on Max and Reese in another storyline, perhaps with Chris, Valerie or Lynn. Are you planning on writing about them any time soon? Keep those stories coming.

Summary: FABULOUS
Review: This is one of the best books I've read by Ms. Hill. The movie did not do it justice. And to the woman who wrote: "yuck, horrific writing" She must have been blind or reading the wrong book. The movie was good, but in no way compared to the depth of the story or the development of the characters and the complexity of it. That reviewer needs to go back to "review class 101"
