Rating: Summary: All her Eden books are Fabulous! Review: From the first to the last book in this saga of the Eden family (there were 7), I was hooked. Ms. Harris has an amazing style of writing. Just when you feel something is sure to happen in each of these books, she goes and throws a monkey wrench into the works and surprises the hell out of you. I have read each book at least twice and, unlike other books which you read and soon forget, I have remembered all of the facts in each book from year to year. The characters are vivid, memorable and extremely interesting.
All of the books in this series - This Other Eden, The Prince of Eden, The Eden Passion, The Women of Eden, Eden Rising, American Eden, and Eden and Honor (in that order) were well worth reading. They are fantastic. I'm only sorry she didn't write any further books in the series and even sorrier now that the series is out of print. I'm fortunate enough to have all 7 books in my library and wouldn't part with them for anything. I intend to read them all again. I recommend that, if you are unable to buy these books anywhere, you seek them out in a library. You will be amazed at Ms. Harris' writings.
Rating: Summary: I was sad when it was over. Review: I hated to read and luckily picked up the Eden Series when I had my first child. I could not put the first book down and that continued through the whole series and then all of Marilyn Harris' books. And on to a truckload of historical romance books. But never have I even come close to the enjoyment of reading this series. I keep looking. You can't read just one, you really should read the whole series and begin with the first book. I think there were about 7 or 8 books total.
