Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Engaging, Mystical, Entertaining, and Truly Passionate.
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I loved the blend of magic, mysticism, adventure, action, sexual tension and attraction, power, and self discovery I discovered in this wonderful story. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is interested in magic and the power it can have over people, love, and destinies.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A different and magical kind of regency
Review: In order to help Wellington defeat Napoleon, Lord Damien Wodesby, a direct descendent of Merlin, expends all his magical power. However, Damien realizes that he still can help England by using his ability to weave an illusion in order to uncover the identity of the Napoleanic spy giving away critical English secrets to the enemy. He arrives at the estate of Sir Hector Southwood, the prime suspect, in the disguise of a stage magician.

Also at the estate is the governess, Mrs. Rowan Penham, who is actually the widow to a member of the Du Le Fey family, evil Napoleanic supporters. Rowan is at the estate to spy for the French. When Damien meets Rowan, he senses that there is more to the nondescript widower than she lets on. Even as Rowan and Damien fall in love, once their secret identities become known their relationship will probably be ended.

LORD OF ILLUSUIONS is a refreshing, extremely unique Regency romance that adds the magical elements of Camelot to the sub-genre. Damien and Rowan are a fabulous cross-starred lovers, who will garner reader empathy and interest. Rita Boucher proves that she is a major talent who brings excitement to the sub-genre.
