Review: Caroline "Callie" Day is 22, lives in London and has just inherited three quarters of a million pounds and a third of Spencer Plastics from her step-father, who she had known only as successful sculptor Jeff Thornton. She had no idea that he was really Jeffery Spencer, brother to Sir Charles Spencer. Needless to say, she was flabbergasted when she learned the news. Then she learns that Sir Charles wants her to marry his son David, so he can have control of the company. She also learns that a quick divorce is planned.

After learning this she realizes why her step-father had wanted nothing to do with that family. Then she meets and falls in love with Logan Carrington, only to find out the wealthy cosmetic magnate is really Sir Donald's nephew and she believes she is being manipulated again. Logan, when he finds out who Callie is, believes she only wants him for his shares of the plastic company. So the pair, once in love, are now at each others throats. Can they sort it all out?

This is a romance that I dearly loved. Very believable people in an unbelievable situation that Ms. Mortimer made me believe in. That is the mark of a real writer. If you see this one on the shelves of your used bookstore, snap it up, you won't be disappointed.
