  Summary: Sluggish and Unbelievable
Review: I found this story to be very sluggish, with only a few redeeming qualities...the main characters kept changing personalities early on and never really stayed true to form, so it was hard to relate to them. The Heroine especially kept flip-flopping back and forth from cowering ninny to adventuress back to a ninny...without there being an intended ruse. It is a relatively short book as historicals go, but quite honestly I got bored with it half way through and couldn't even finish it.
 I did love Kingsbrook though!

Summary: The Wager was very sweet and touching, with a touch of ...
Review: naughtiness! Such a good read...the leading girl and man are so cute together but at first it is quite another story! The Wager is, as I'm sure you've already guessed, an indecent proposal made to a witty, fun heroine if she loses the bet you can imagine what her interested male counterpart is suppose to receive in payment! A thoroughly fun, witty, seductive, and warmly romantic romp through the pages!
