Rating: Summary: Sparkling romance fiction Review: Jeanette Dawson is a young nurse who joins an ice show, "Fantasy on Ice", in order to be near the staff doctor, Roarke Wells, with whom she had once worked before he left the hospital to join the show. Jeanette has been in love with the doctor for a year, and hopes that, with closer proximity, he will come to love her, also. However, Roarke is preoccupied with solving the emotional problems of the show's star, Tina Lavalle. Tina's violent temper alienates everyone around her, but her undeniable talent also holds the show together. Jeanette, thinking that Roarke is indifferent to her, dates the show's producer, Alan Duarte. She also makes friends with two young skaters, David Bryce and Gretchen Hiller, and with Tina's wardrobe mistress, Victoria. But Tina is violently jealous of the up-and-coming young starlet, Gretchen. And when Gretchen is seriously injured during a performance, and circumstantial evidence makes Tina look guilty, Jeanette must put aside her own distrust of Tina to find out the truth of the matter. Will she succeed and win Roarke's love in the process? I really enjoyed this book. It has the unusual and sparkling background of a traveling ice show, as well as the aforementioned mystery (whose solution you may not see coming) and a satisfying romantic resolution. Perfect for fans of light romance fiction!
