Summary: A GOOD MORAL TO THE STORY
Review: This is one of the better books that Elizabeth Seifert has written, perhaps her best. I love all her books that I have read so far, but I gained so much more from this one. I read this book at an especially good time for me, because, I, too, found myself being a martyr and sacrificing my own happiness. This book made me open my eyes and realize the misery I've allowed to be inflicted on myself. We should follow our heart and stop being a people-pleaser, and stop letting pride ruin our happiness. This book has a good message and moral. Even though Elizabeth Seifert is deceased, and this book was written and published before I was born, I feel as though Ms. Seifert was writing this book especially for me! I can relate to it, and I even shed tears toward the end of the book. There was only one thing I felt should be different: The first chapter should have been an epilogue instead. After I read the book, I had to go back and re-read the first chapter; then it made sense. But the first time I read the first chapter, the people, events, Throne Hospital, and other facts meant absolutely nothing to me. But after having read the whole book, and then coming back and re-reading the first chapter, it all made sense, and I knew exactly what was being said and it all had a new meaning then. I will forever be grateful to Ms. Seifert for her insight when writing this book. This book has enriched me and given me that me that extra push and shove exactly when I need it the most.
