Summary: Thriller
Review: "Dark Legacy" by Samantha Leigh is more than a story of Horror, or the evil that can invade a family and a town. DARK LEGACY is a well-written, action-packed, narrative of the power of love. Her past, her nightmares, and the prophecy of evil that lurks in her future, haunt Kaitlin O'Conner. Leigh's debut novel is a fine mix of good and bad. Kaitlin's life is fraught with secrets and only true love keeps her struggling to survive. I predict a great career for Samantha Leigh and look forward to reading her next novel.
Beverly J Scott author of "Righteous Revenge" and "Ruth Fever." [..]

Summary: JUST WHAT I LIKE!
Review: I started reading Dark Legacy because my neighbors daughter wrote it. I was only given one night to read what I could and see if it was something I was interested in. Well I tell you what I couldn't put the book down until I was done with it. It really grabs you as soon as you start to read it.She puts just the right amount of suspence, and flashbacks in it to keep you wanting to read. I was almost disapointed when I was done with it. I could have kept on reading all night.I can't wait for Samantha Leigh's next book to come out! And even though I have already read this book I'm going to buy it so I can have it for my book collection! Keep on writing Samantha, its not often a book grabs my intrest like Steven King, Dean Koonts or Anne Rice do. Looking forward to the next edition and more to come after that.

Summary: The horrific truth of a dysfunctional family
Review: Never have I seen such a powerful portrait of a dysfunctional family as I did in Dark Legacy. Instead of relying on the now familiar routine I've seen in so many other books, this one depicts the tragic story of familial relations gone wrong through the use of incredibly creative imagery and characters so engaging they still live and breathe in my mind. The story itself is cleverly tucked inside a horror novel and by the end of the book, I understood why. When all is revealed and the mysterious truth unveiled, I realized that the true horror of the story never hindged on the supernatural element or the frightening plot twists, but on the solitary idea that evil is a force that stems from within, and is something that can grow to terrifying heights from one generation to the next.

The main character in the book is Kaitlin O'Connor, whose only wish is to find love and security in her life. Her struggle along the way and the painful losses she endures are not something I'll reveal here, but I will say that her character is everything I look for in a heroine. She's a small-town girl, an orphan, and used to making her own way. She's tough. She's determined. She's also incredibly vulnerable in her own tender way. Throughout the book I experienced, through Kate, the glorious satisfaction of stunning triumph, as well as the sharp sting of agonizing defeat. In some way or another I believe we have all struggled with the question of who we really are-what we're truly made of. And it's an issue Kate deals with constantly through the story. The questions she answers about herslf, and about all of us, are definitely worth the read.
