Rating: Summary: I wish I had more to say... Review: But once again Suzanne Forster has shown that she has so much potential. Her plot was a really good one, but I often felt lost and confused with where she is going with her plots. She leads breadcrumbs to the paths of nearly every character in the book, which isn't a bad thing, it just gets a little old as it seems everyone in the book has a "revelation" at the end. Like life can be solved in one quick week. I mean OK, so you're Mom doesn't like your profession and seems to not give a hoot about you in general; that is allowed to happen in real life. We don't necessarily need to know WHY that is. Most of us never know the deeper reasons why some things are the way they are. She has a GREAT plot to start with but in this one it seems that she introduces too many characters as being more important than they really are, and for what? It ends up not being most of those people anyway and unless she plans a sequel, we really don't need to know that much about so many characters. I think if she had stuck with the begining and left out some of the personal takes and concentrated on staggering us all with a great begining and ending it would have been all the more satisfying. I will continue to buy Suzanne's books but I will pass over her book to buy a J.D. Robb, Tami Hoag, or a Kay Hooper on my pay-day, to purchase theirs first.
Rating: Summary: A winner! Review: She was the enforcer of the Golden Rule that has Los Angeles males fearing her. She is a serial killer who avenges victims by destroying their predators in the same manner as they ravaged their quarry. She is the Femme Fatale and after the third killing, the Los Angeles Police Department assigns Rio Scott Walker to put an end to her vigilante justice that has acquired many admirers throughout Southern California. The homicide detective hones in on Carlie Bishop as the most likely suspect. Carlie has the means of being an expert on stalkers based on her highly regarded book on the subject. She has the motive as her sister was a victim of a stalker-murderer. Only the opportunity remains questionable to Rio. He plans to catch her in the act if he only can keep his libido in check from the lure of this beautiful woman, who feels the same attraction. Suzanne Forster continues her rapid climb to the top of the romantic suspense sub-genre with the taut police thriller, EVERY BREATH SHE TAKES. The story line is filled with non-stop action that would elate fans of serial killer mysteries as well as romantic suspense lovers. The characters are intriguing because their growing love for one another conflicts with Rio's sting operation to catch Carlie in the act. As it seems with all Ms. Forster's novels, this one carries the label of "Don't Miss" all over it. -Harriet Klausner 2/26/99
Rating: Summary: Flawed but interesting Review: The book had an interesting premise but it left a lot of things unfinished. We never find out what happened to Carlie in the brothel in Florida. The romantic relationships between Rio and Carlie, Danny and Jo were awkward. There is no one with a sane childhood. Also, there were too many coincidental relationships (family, lovers, coworkers, ex-somethings) between the characters to be believeable, a la Charles Dickens. SPOILER: DO NOT READ BEYOND THIS POINT IF YOU DON'T WANT A CLUE! The Femme Fatale and the main stalker turned out to be very minor characters; we don't know anything about them until after the climax. All we get is a little passage for each at the end to explain their motives! Arrg!

Rating: Summary: Wha????? Review: This book was more confusing to read than running thru the maze in "The Shining". It had more layers than an 8 layer chocolate cake. Characters were uninteresting and I didnt care about any of them. Sorry, hate to pan any book but I skimmed thru to the end and even that was unexciting!

Rating: Summary: Not a Suzanne Forster Fan but she did ok with this one Review: This is a good mystery. It was fun trying to figure out who was next to die. Who was killing the bad guys? Was it a woman who was stalked and attached herself? Or a man who is a vigilante? Or is it the duaghter of US Supreme court judge? It was fun to find out and watch the love grow between a hard nosed cop and saint of women.
Rating: Summary: Steamy and Full of Suspense Review: This one really kept me wondering (and up until midnight guessing!) I could not figure out who the Femme Fatale was, who the stalker was, or even if they were the same person. The romance was a little sudden with the amount of distrust between Carlie and Rio, and some of the book was a little choppy, but overall, a VERY good read.
Rating: Summary: Suspenseful, but problematic Review: Well, some folks won't like this book. Easy enough from some of the reviews. As for me, I thought this one of Forster's best efforts. A lot of new ideas and characters; this is not a comfortable read, but I don't suppose it's to be! The romance is fantastic! If you want a one-sided hero then read something else; however, if you want a hero with ALL the right faults, then this is the book for you. Writing a bad review is easy. Writing a good review without giving away the story IS NOT! Try this book yourself! I think it's one of her best and I've read just about everything she's written.
