Summary: Debut Novel
Review: After a chance encounter with her first love, Michael Sterling, Casey Andrews discovers that the past is just a memory away. What Casey doesn't discover until much later is that their reunion is not accidental. Michael engineered the meeting.

When Casey loses her job, Michael views it as the perfect opportunity to rekindle their relationship. At first, Casey is leery and not willing to put her heart on line, but Michael convinces her that their involvement will be based on a professional and not a personal level.

It's been ten years since circumstances and misunderstandings separated them, but it only took one meeting for Casey to realize she never stopped loving him. Casey knows she can trust Michael to keep his word, but can she trust her heart?

As Casey and Michael grow closer the intrigue is heightened. They soon realize the past isn't the only problem they must overcome. Melinda Parker, a wealthy woman with power and prestige is used to getting what she wants. And what she wants is Michael.

There is also a mystery surrounding Casey's past. Her father disappeared when she was a child. A background check by a secondary character makes it known to the reader that Casey's father has been found.

Personally or Professionally is the first book in the Sterling Series and is complete in its story line. However, several subplots are intertwined to arouse reader interest for the next book in the Sterling series, Lost and Found.

What I found most appealing about Danielle M. Angeline's debut novel Personally or Professionally, is that the story centered on the emotional rather than the physical relationship between Casey and Michael. That's not to say there isn't sexual tension as they rediscover what their hearts already knew . . . love doesn't keep a calendar . . . time has no meaning, what the mind may try and forget the heart will remember.

If you enjoy sweet romances, or it's been a while since you've read one, treat yourself to this unique novel . . . and then if you have a son or daughter feel free to pass it on.

Summary: An very enjoyable read
Review: It isn't often that I will read a contemporary romance. Historical fiction is my preference. Personally or Professionally is, however, an exception. I immediately became absorbed into the lives of Michael and Casey. Curiosity moved me to turn the pages.

Michael and Casey had been high school sweethearts. After the breakup of their relationship, Michael and Casey started their careers and quickly became the best in their fields. At the deathbed of Michael's sister, Michael promises to find Casey. Casey is fired from her job, and on the way out the door, she literally runs into Michael Sterling.

I don't want to give too much of the story away, but Casey and Michael both realize at that moment they still have deep feelings for each other. Michael offers Casey a job with his firm, which she accepts on the bases that everything will stay on a professional level.

Danielle Angeline has written an excellent story. Personally or Professionally is not just another romance novel. It is not your ordinary "pick this up in the grocery store line" book. It is unique in its own rite, and breaks out of the same old formula romance that the majority of romance novels are based upon. The story is unpredictable. The book is full of twists and turns, and a full cast of characters.

There is an interesting tension to the story. I found myself anxious wondering how, in the end, would Michael and Casey turn out. Would they choose a personal relationship or keep things strictly professional? Love is the foundation in this story, and built upon it is loyalty, friendship, and trust. However, there is an entity that would like nothing more than to see that foundation crumble.

Are Michael and Casey's feelings strong enough to overcome it? Can they find a balance between love and career? Can they discover what is most important? Can they forgive the past?

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Ms. Angeline's debut romance novel and look forward to reading the sequels. An agent or publisher dealing with contemporary romance should grab Danielle Angeline up before someone else does.

Summary: I Personally Loved It!
Review: Personally and Professionally is, in my opinion, one of the best. The story of Casey and Michael starts off with a bang and just gets better as it goes along. The author has perfected her craft and is a fantastic storyteller. She keeps it interesting and well paced, and stays away from clichés that so often you find in the romance genre. She simply told a told a very good, very believable story. I will be looking for Ms. Angeline's next book.
