Summary: My Veiw Of The Key of Light
Review: My View On The Key Of Light
Nora Roberts trilogy The Key of Light a modern, mystical romance. This book has it all, Gods, Goddesses, Scorchers, Warriors, and intrigue. Nora Roberts has managed to mesh the mystical with the 20th century to form a magnificent tale of the search for three keys.
Zoe, Dana, and Mallory have little in common, except that they are all working at dead end jobs, and they have all been invited for cocktails at Warriors Peak. Warriors Peak, guarded by warriors at the gate, and gargoyles on the roof. This is where they meet Rowena, and Pitte, and their journey begins.
Many years ago there was a young god. He was the parents' only child, and well loved. He was destined to rule on day, as his father before him. There was balance and harmony in the world where the gods resided. "From behind the Curtain of Power, through the veil of the Curtain of Dreams," the gods watched the mortals. The lesser gods where allowed to mix and mingle with the mortals, that's how the fairies and spirits came to be. Some gods choose to stay others came back to their own world, but they were never to bring mortals behind the curtain. The god king was allowed to go to the mortal world and fell in love. He was to be king so he couldn't stay there, so he brought his loved one back with him. There was anger in all three worlds, the rules had been broken. The son went on to become king and his mortal wife Queen. They had three daughters. One day while their teacher and their protector were not looking, a spell was cast and their souls locked in a glass box. there were wizards, witches and warlocks, brought in to break the spell, but nothing worked. The spell can only be broken my mortal hands.
Zoe, Dana, and Mallory have been chosen to find the keys and break the spell. They have only 28 days to search for each of the 3 keys. Mallory is the one chosen to go first. The only clue she has to go by goes like this: "You must seek beauty, and truth and courage. One alone will never stand. Two without the third is incomplete. Search within and know what you have yet to know. Find what the dark covets most. Search without, where the light conquers sorrow. Silver tears fall for the song she makes there, for it springs from souls. Look beyond and between, see where beauty blooms and the goddess sings. There may be grief, but the true heart vanquishes both. When you find what you seek, love will break the spell, and the heart will forge the key and bring it to the light."
This book is well written. The characters are full and life like. There is just the right balance of the magical and the 20th century to make the story believable. The story line flows well and doesn't leave any questions unanswered. Personally I can't wait to read the other two books.

Summary: First in the key trilogy
Review: This is the first in the Key Trilogy and I really liked it! It has suspense, fantasy and romance all in one book. My favorite was the second one, but I definetly reccomend you read this trilogy!

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Best of the Three
Review: This was the best of the trilogy. It really set up the scenario between the three women and Mallory is a very likable character. It is typical Nora Roberts with a fast pace and lots of action. I like Nora Roberts but I like some of her other books better (The Villa, Cheasapeake Blue, The Reef).
