Review: But I loved it. It's not a perfect, tidy ending, but that was what I liked about it. It had the formula of a gothic novel, but not 100%. It was moodier and more interesting. I wish I knew where all my Victoria Holt's were. But this one was the best

Review: I don't know, are you supposed to like this heroine? I suppose maybe you do get a bit attached to her, but she so looks down on everyone else, I was quite happy with the result. Didn't like the book though. It does stray slightly from the usual formula, so I'll give it 2 stars.
