Review: When Jennifer Carlisle tried to help the Indian she found suffering from a rattlesnake bite she was taken prisoner. Although held for ransom, Jennifer finds herself falling in love with the Indian who claimed her for his own. And even when the ransom is paid and she is back among her own people she cannot forget the man who stole her heart. The book makes us realize how unfairly the Indians were treated and the efforts of a handful of people to help the plight of the Indians.
