In the Denver area, part Native American Chandler Chesney Baker negotiates a business deal with Holly Harper, a Jew. He offers to invest the needed capital in her financially struggling designer business, Xtreme Skiwear, in exchange for making all the non-creative decisions. Though Holly desperately wants to kick the Oklahoma resident out of her office, she knows the predicament her spouse left her in after he vanished to the Orient. They work out a deal.

Chess finds himself filled with desire for Holly, but being an honorable person refuses to act on it because she remains married. Though his seeming opposite in temperament, Holly also starts to fall in love with her noisy partner. Adding to their dilemma is his nasty cousin, and initially the ghost and ultimately the return of her spouse. There appears to be no design available for love to form the lasting relationship this couple deserves.

Dar Tomlinson exploded on the multicultural romance sub-genre with her great novel, FORBIDDEN QUEST. Her newest romance, DESIGNER PASSION, will simply delight readers with its deep story line that breaks out of the sub-genre box with an innovative tale. Chess and Holly are the imperfect couple who seems right for each other. Their differences in heritage, religion, philosophy, and temperament would prove difficult for most people to overcome. However, as Ms. Tomlinson demonstrates, love is the ultimate force that crashes all barriers.
