Summary: The Definitive Book - a Classic
Review: This is the book that a *lot* of pilots learned from since 1940. It's still good over 50 years later.

Summary: THE pilot's Bible!
Review: Without a doubt the best book on piloting I've read. Reminds us of the importants of old fashion flying techniques that our young flight instructors never learned.

Summary: An outstanding easy to read introduction to flying planes
Review: Written many years ago with a style that really shows a unique understanding of how to convey complex information in a simple manner. If you are just starting off flying small planes this is the text for you because you will gain a real understanding of how things work. As a 150 hour PPL(A) this has been a unique book I'll use on many occaisions. Read it

Summary: A life saving classic
Review: Years ago, the military taught that the stick makes an airplane go up and down and the throttle makes an airplane go faster and slower. Langewiesche taught that the stick makes an airplane go faster and slower while the throttle makes an airplane go up and down. Knowing the difference can save your life in a potential stall-spin situation. This book is simply the Bible of flying.
