Rating: Summary: One At A Time Review: This book is so beautifully and skillfully written and pictured, that no one will come away from it untouched. The authors are terribly honest about the plight of animals in animal shelters today. However, they do offer some very workable suggestions & solutions which the average person can do, at whatever level of comfort they are capable. This book needs to be read widely because it portrays an urgent problem that affects each and every one of us. This book is mystical in parts , and those parts meld in with the rest of the book and give a flavor of the authors' personalities and philosophies that allow the reader to feel part of the book, and best, part of the solution.
Rating: Summary: profoundly moving Review: This important, profound, and profoundly moving book is ultimately about love, love for the creatures with whom we share our days. Diane Leigh and Marilee Geyer have created a book that both reveals the tragedy of our relationships with nonhumans and the triumphs that these relationships can be. I am deeply grateful to them for making this book.
