Summary: The best bird guide just got better!
Review: Volume two has been my favorite bird field guide for years. Volume three is printed more clearly, so the detail shows like never before. Many old illustrations have been completely replaced, all for the better. The yellow on the range maps, which was so hard to see clearly, has been replaced by red. The order has been changed to more closely agree with the AOU check-list. Recent changes in recognized species (formerly subspecies) are incorperated. Lots of the text is expanded. All this makes the best bird field guide on the market even better.
