Review: For all the love the people of the Midwest have for Lake Superior and the Minnesota North Shore, you'd think more people would have written...and published...about their experiences there. But there is a noticeable lack of current nature writing about the lake. This book does a great job of filling in. The various chapters take a rough clockwise journey around the lake, stopping to deeply elucidate one natural history phenomenon after another. For fans of Lake Superior, this is a very welcome and very important book.
