Summary: My daughter
Review: I bought this book for my daughter last Christmas. We still read it at bedtime. The paper butterflies are beautiful and tough. The writing is factual and engaging and the butterflies have kept their shape and stood-up pretty well to little hands bending, pushing, and pulling. The paper butterfly which comes with the book is nice too. We also have the "Beetle" book, which is pretty spectacular as well.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Absolutely darling butterfly pop up book!
Review: If you love butterflies, or love pop-ups, this is a don't miss book! The pop-ups are terrific...very detailed and intricate. In addition, the butterfly facts are correct! You can't miss with this book!!

Summary: good GIFT Idea..."Butterflies:fluttering flowers; moths:all
Review: in the family; Life cycle: look at how you've grown; behaviour; defense: poisons, points and pretenders; diversity: all the colors of the rainbow"!

LESS APPROPRIATE words are sometimes better. I will therefore apply the K.I.S.S. ("keep it simple, stupid/silly) principle with regard to my review for this lovely book--
"Young Naturalist's pop-up Handbook: BUTTERFLIES" will make both your heart and soul "FLUTTER!!!"

Summary: My daughter
Review: My daughter loves this book, not just because I love it. It came with a framed paper butterfly she absolutely loved. When I was reading it to her she was asking questions and was so into the book and she learned all about butterflies.

Summary: Buggy and beautiful! Full of fun facts.
Review: Since I follow Sabuda's work with pop-up story books, I was a little puzzled to see a pop-up book about insects! But this is a gorgeous, fun, interesting look at the world of beetles. The narration is easy and informative, the illustrations are lively, and the pop-ups are -- well, they're Sabuda! (How did he DO that?!!) Amazing! Some are very clever! There's one pop-up that's a tiny "book" of beetle memories that opens page by page for you to read as you pull the tab. It comes with a big, colorful paper beetle in a paper frame for your bug fan to hang on the wall. Also check out its companion book: "Butterflies."

Summary: Great Educational Book
Review: This is an exceptionally beautifully illustrated book. It holds the interest of my 6 yr and 3 yr sons. The pop-ups work well and with different textures the children can learn with the sense of touch as well as sight. We love this book

Summary: Gorgeous! -- some are shiny, some are fuzzy.
Review: Wow! Butterflies are almost a natural subject for a pop-up book, and Sabuda does not disappoint. The butterflies and moths spring to life and fly right out of the book at you! The easy narration flows well and is full of interesting facts. Makes a perfect springboard for curious young minds that want to go on and learn more about our winged friends. Comes with a beautiful paper butterfly in a paper frame for your wall. Also check out its companion book -- "Beetles." (Yes, the bugs. But you'll be surprised how beautiful they can be.)
