Review: Long before she knew it, Donna Diers became one of my most trusted mentors. It's as if her articles and editorials were really personal correspondence slipped to me, a practicing nurse, within the pages of a nursing journal. Her prose is delicious-smart, funny, succinct and in-your-face. The practical wisdom she offers is accessible and unpretentious. It hasn't aged a bit over the years encompassed by this book. When she writes about nursing, she gets it right. Every time. If it ever falls to me to appoint an ambassador of nursing to the United Nations, I will name Donna Diers. Read this book and you'll see why.
