Review: I am presently using this book to study for the board exam in Preventive Medicine. I had hoped there was a newer version. There isn't. Nevertheless, even this 2nd edition is a great resource. The content is well organized and uncluttered by excessive narrative. The examples and sample test questions are written in clear, easy to understand language. Complex concepts involved in standardizing rates and statistics are remarkably cogent in this great synopsis of public health. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who cannot spare the time to wade through a lot of verbiage to get to the point.
