Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Highly recommended.
Review: Although this book is a bit pricey it is well worth the money. It has wonderful introductory sections that address all aspects of basic developmental biology including a description of development of specific organs, signaling pathways, and relevant molecular processes. By describing how these processes can go awry as a consequence of gene mutation it manages to make clear why an understanding of developmental biology has direct impact on biomedicine. It is densely packed with important information and makes an excellent reference manual. My graduate students loved it!
