Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Collection of Genetic Epidemiological Developments
Review: There has been a lot of development of novel statistical methods in the last decade which has resulted in a better understanding of genetic disorders. There are not many existing books on the subject. This volume is a collection of excellent papers written by some of the renowned experts in the field. The papers range from the basic concepts in genetic epidemiology to applications of some of the most recently developed statistical techniques like CART . The precautions that one needs to take while analyzing genetic data have also been addressed in details. The final chapter by Newton Morton is a treat to read and provides a great overview of the future directions in the field. Overall the book will be very helpful to all genetic epidemiologists in their research.
