Summary: Well written, motivational and rigorous.
Review: This book cover the basics of partial differential equations. It's well written, motivational, and balanced rigorous. It contains a lot of good exercises which is a necessity for a beginner in this field. I read this book during a university course in the subject. I struggled. But in my opinion this book is pretty close to the ideal presented by Einstein: "Everything should be made as simple as possible, but no simpler".
