Summary: very Illustrative
Review: This book is a compact version of a pathology book. It covers most common pathologies instead of very rare academic cases.It is a practical book with very good pictures. There are a lot of good quality pictures to help to recognize cases. Explanations are short but to the point. You should not expect to find all the voluminuous information that you may find in other standard pathology books but you learn more practical things from this book. It is a must have book as a reference.

Summary: "THE" Book for USMLE Path Review
Review: This book is like BRS Path, but with gross and microscopic high resolution pictures (over 900 as per the authors). There are clinical examples and concise explanations without useless details and minutia(?sp), or as the authors put it, "...focusing on the core content that medical students need to know...highly illustrated course review...USMLE-type questions and answers with rationales." The practice-exam questions each have hi-res. images, and are USMLE-like. A bit pricey due to high-quality glossy paper with lots of photos, but well worth it! Get this book and use it with "BRS" and "Rapid-Review" and get a 261+ in Path. If you have the time, these same authors also have "Pathology Picture Tests" ("over 400 ques. based on color [path] photos"). Also excellent!! Good Luck !

Summary: Great pathology pictures!
Review: This color illustrated pathology cover a broad range of pathologic topic with pictures to enhance the topic. What's really great is the picture examination at the end of the book which reflects the usmle-type of questions. All of the pictures from the previous book: pathology picture tests, are covered in this book with full explanations. I highly recommended as a supplement or for pathology reveiw!
