Summary: Doesn't do it for me
Review: This book is a text book in my current statistics class. I am not too familiar with alternate text books on the subject, but I do not find his explanations to be clear enough to be helpful on their own. He assumes a level of sophistication about mathematics that this reader does not have. If your math background is excellent, you will do well. If not, be forwarned.

Summary: Social Statistician's Source Book
Review: This is a heavy-going textbook used for graduate level social scientists. Certainly not for casual reading, (except for a possible cure for chronic insomia). But the definitive text and reference for descriptive statistics of populations. Excellent for the serious student, an absolute must for the professional in probability practice.
