Review: This book does not have enough review information in order for anyone to affectivly teach themself algebra using this book. Many of the sections go over the basics of the subject, but when you get to the assignments they request you to do problems that were never discussed. Without a teacher who already know algebra, this is not a good book to buy. Many of the students I work with on this book have purchased the study guide just to see how it is done. They still do not understand why or how they did it because it was never discussed in the book sections. I think the next time these guys write a book together, they need to do one example problem of each type in each section before they require the student to do the assignment. This book is an entire confusion and the study guide just helps confuse them a little more.
