Review: To be honest, this is one of the first books I ordered when I went into medical transcribing for a pathology lab, and I have yet to actually use it as a reference. It is a pretty standard overview on the functions of clinical and anatomical pathology. Moreover, it is outlined in textbook form, with new vocabulary words in bold throughout the text, and actual review questions at the end of each chapter. Just to reiterate: this is not meant to be used as a reference guide. To all you new transcribers out there, start with a Stedman's word book, along with a good medical dictionary (Stedman's or Dorlands). These will help you far more than this will! Good luck!
