Rating: Summary: More substantial than Just Six Numbers Review: Having read a lot of pop science treatments of cosmology/particle physics recently, it was nice to come across a book which actually contains the equations, graphs, plots etc on which the theories are based. This book is a nice summary of the current state of astrophysics, and occupies the rather empty niche between the popular books and heavyweight graduate/postgrad. level texts. I'd like to see more books like this. If you found Rees' "Just Six Numbers" interesting but rather insubstantial, and have some maths/physics training, then the this well worth a read.
