I found this book very helpful, and it would be a great book for anyone who is just starting to learn about archaeology. I would recommend this book to anyone.

The book documents her research of the Sinagua peoples of Flagstaff, Arizona.Because the book is an account of a real research project, it provides the reader with an example of methods in use, rather than just explaining the methods as a standard text would do. The reader sees the techniques of excavation, dating, and interpretation come to life.
