The last two sections in the book deal with specific problems and some related issues in Neuro-oncology. The book is printed in two-tone format and contains abundant illustrations. This is a unique book in the quickly changing field of Neuro-Oncology. Hassan A Al-Shatoury, M.D.
Rating: Summary: Outstanding book on the basics Review: This book truly does provide all the essentials in neuro-oncology. While written for the clinician, it is understandable by a determined, somewhat informed non-clinician. Its only fault is that of many printed books. There are so many advances in medicine and technology that the reader needs to supplement the book with medical journals to be truly up to date. I recommend brain tumor patients who would like a technical view of neuro-oncology get it through inter-library loan from their nearest library. I'm a patient with a glioblastoma grade IV. I was lucky enough to be operated on by Dr. Berger, one of the best neurosurgeons in the United States.
